In my digital gallery, you'll find an eclectic collection of my artwork, born from a deep passion for self-expression and visual storytelling. Inspired by nature, human emotions, and the mysteries of the universe, my art transcends boundaries and resonates with the human spirit.

 

Born and raised in Shanghai (China), I started Eastern brush painting around 8 years old mostly self-taught till the whole teenage years. In college and early 20s, I started practicing Western art like watercolor and the concept of three-dimensional art from the Eastern 2D world. In 1997, I was admitted to the Masters of Fine Art Degree Program at Donghua University majoring in Fashion Design in Shanghai and continued my art journey after I immigrated to California bay area in the late 1990s.  I worked as a digital artist / graphic designer in my earlier art career. In 2003 I received Master of Science Degree majoring in Software Engineering in Santa Clare (Silicon Valley). I worked in tech/science business management area for the past 15 years and I paint whenever I have time.

 

Since 2018, I found my interests have shifted to fine art. So I joined local galleries and venues, such as Blackhawk Gallery, Alameda County Fair, Bishop Ranch City Center and a few businesses. After 1-2 years of preparation, In 2024 I opened the Renaissance Art & Science art club my own venue and my creative adventures continue...

 

 

Art has the power to speak directly to the soul. As an evolving artist, influenced by both eastern and western cultures, I experiment with different techniques and push the boundaries of my creativity. I always found joy in watercolor which reminds me of my eastern root in brush painting, a feeling of home and happiness, while over two decades of American life allows my creativities to grow beyond the boundaries.
